Hi, guys!
Let me tell you about this week!
We learned about election and imagine… we are
going to present our political speech on Monday! So help me God!
On Monday
we had a book fair. There we could see newest ESL/ EFL materials available for
learning listening, reading, speaking and reading. Rob gave us a gift: we could
choose any book of PEARSON. We
received other books and they certainly will help us in our learning/teaching
process. Thank you so much!
On Tuesday
there was a lecture about 10 ways to Engage Multi- Level English Language
Simultaneously in a Communicative Grammar Class by Irene E. Schoenberg at The
New School. She presented some interesting points that we can apply in our
classrooms. Teaching grammar and through it the student can use it meaningfully
in different situations in which he/she will be able to interact.
On Friday
it was snowing and raining...
We went to The High School Language and Diplomacy. There people showed how
school works and we could watch some classes. It is interesting to see and
compare how the English teaching process happens. There are small classes and
in many of them there are two teachers with all resources required for his/her
planned class. We can’t deny the use of our mother tongue to explain the second language,
for example when the teacher was in his Chinese class talking about its culture
and history. Cool!
Hi, Fran!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. This week was really profitable. We learned o lot of things. This program is to be congratulated because our English improvement is visible in every speech. thus, it is clear that the goal of the program is being reached.
Keep going!
