It was a busy week!!!
Tour of St. John's University Queens Campus
Monday, January 28th,2013
We
visited St.John's Queens Campus. It is a little bit far from St. John's
Manhattan. It took us almost fifty minutes by bus to arrive there. We could see
and walk through the campus. How big! A nice tour guide showed us and gave us
many explanations about it.
On Tuesday, January 29th...
St. John’s commission had planned a special Brazilian English Teacher meeting- wine and cheese
reception for us to meet with the executive director of the Fulbright
Commission in Brazil, Dr. Luiz Valcov Loureiro and other members responsible of
this program- Language Connection (Sue, Pam, Aaron, Dave,Sidney, Carl... Wonderful night! We could know who gave us a
MARVELOUS present- Be here in New York City at St. John’s. Thank you so much!
During all the week we had classes and workshops... and ...
Friday, February 1st...
We had one more great experience... we had gone to International High School in Long Island. There friendly people like Maria and Sara explained how their school works. A lot of students of many parts of the world and one language in common... what is it? Of course... English. They had different reasons to go there to study and the school works with projects in order to achieve this goal. Classes with 20 or 25 students...The interection and the knowlodge(culture, history...) of the students are present in every project done by them.
Great!!! Thanks God for this opportunity!!!
